Sallyann Phillips triple release children’s book breaks the parental gender barrier
Local author, Sallyann Phillips, releases a children’s book designed to include the children and the parents in alternative families.
Penyrheol Swansea, May 17, 2017: Sallyann Phillips, a U.K author located in Wales, has written a children’s book that she will publish as a triple release covering children and parents in alternative families, each paperback copy designed as a keepsake allowing the giver to put a picture, along with the name and date of birth, of the child inside.
Sallyann said “When I finished writing Good Night Mummy Good Night Dad, I thought about my daughter and her wife, wondering if there were any books out there that catered to families like they will have one day. Every one of them seemed to be focused on, what we call, traditional families, and Good Night Mummy Good Night Mum, along with Good Night Daddy Good Night Dad, were born so that alternative families wouldn’t, once again, be left out.
Sallyann accomplished this by altering key words in her books to be able to publish in triplicate, and in the paperback copies she encourages the children to draw and name the animal characters they see allowing them to interact with the books.
Sallyann Phillips is a Welsh author that has published thirteen books under a pseudonym, along with four under her real name, making this children’s book her eighteenth. She has also written a screenplay with an American author she has formed a writing partnership with under the brand name duttonNphillips, who are already in the process of writing other literary works.
